The December 2026 JLPT in Ireland is on Sunday 6 December at UCD’s Belfield campus in Dublin. The fee is €105 at every level. Online booking opened on 11 September after a technical delay; the final places were taken on 27 September.

## The revised September booking dates

UCD’s announced opening times, 11 September 2026 — Dublin time
| Level | Approximate opening |
| --- | --- |
| N1 | 13:30 |
| N2 and N3 | 15:30 |
| N4 and N5 | 16:30 |

The planned closing date was the end of September, subject to capacity. UCD’s 28 September notice records that the remaining places filled the previous evening. No further registration window is announced.

## Booking and payment

Use UCD’s [JLPT examination booking page](https://www.ucd.ie/japan/exams/bookajlptexamination/). Complete the online application and payment; the paper form in the general test guide is not used at UCD. December bookings remain provisional until the Japan Foundation accepts the submitted applications.

The public booking notice does not specify a photo-upload size. Check the instructions in the booking system and the subsequent candidate email for photo and identification requirements; a specification from another country does not establish UCD’s requirements.

## Arriving at Belfield

6 December — all levels, Dublin local time
| Stage | Time |
| --- | --- |
| Recommended arrival | 10:50 |
| Registration starts | 11:00 |
| Must be seated; no entry afterwards | 11:45 |
| First test section | 12:00 |

The venue is the Sutherland Building, UCD Belfield, Dublin 4. Keep the final candidate notice for the assigned room and any changes.

## The next sitting

Dublin is listed for both July and December in 2026. The UCD notices reviewed on 12 October 2026 do not confirm a 2027 registration window. Use the next dated UCD announcement rather than carrying this September schedule into another year.
